Instinctively snapping into action, Kenji rolled to the left, narrowly evading the descending blade, flipping to his feet in a single fluid movement, katana in hand.
“Ah… very good!” the young man was barely able to suppress a shudder of revulsion created by those hissing words. “You’ve improved, Kenji-kun.”

“What are you doing here, Sasuke?” She couldn’t take it any longer. She HAD to know what his intentions were.

Awakening
It was dark, darker then the night of the new moon. He couldn’t even see his own hand in front of his face, with or without the sharingan.
Kenji growled, frustrated. He’d been stuck in this stinking hole for who-knows-how long, struggling uselessly against the shackles that where draining him of his chakra.
All in all, this entire situation was becoming extremely tedious.

The Generation Gap
The cave’s entrance loomed in front of him like some sort of giant gaping maw intent on devouring him. Kenji suppressed a shudder caused by more than just the night’s biting chill.
Taking a deep breath, he began his odyssey inside of the still foreign place, somehow making his way to his father’s chambers. Once he arrived, however, the young man’s heart sank, disappointed to discover his father wasn’t there.
